I hope this letter finds your whanau safe, with those most affected receiving support from the range of various government and community outreaches. Our school site has some damage which we are working to repair this week.
The ‘STATE OF EMERGENCY’ caused by extreme weather patterns mean that every Aucklander has been and will continue to be affected in multiple, interconnected expected & unexpected dimensions: transport, road control, route diversions, delays, emergencies, goods & services supply, family / friend / peer extended network assistance & support etc. This may worsen according to the most recent weather forecasts.
Therefore the Rise UP Academy Board of Trustees have decided to close the school for instruction from Wednesday 1st February 2023 and reopen on Wednesday 8th February.
