Principal’s Message
Fakaalofa lahi atu,
We have had a wonderful start to the last term with our Niuean Language Week supported by all our RUA fanau Niue. Ms Cecily Taufelila kicked off our Vagahau Niue with a child friendly devotion about ‘Wisdom’ -we love having our Ms Cecily back in the RUA programmes. Our first Niue Sports day was a great success with the Sika, coconut bowling and Tug-a-war challenge proving a real hit with students and staff. Our Niuean assembly was a fabulous celebration of cultural performances and enough food for the whole school provided by our Niue parents-Fakaaue lahi.
Our teachers and students worked extremely hard on their Market Day Inquiry projects-they enjoyed the fruits of their labour, raising funds for their class end of year celebrations.
Teachers are completing final end of year assessments in Numeracy and Literacy so lets ensure our tamariki are here everyday, nice and nearly ready for learning.
It is going to be another fun filled term of events and celebrations, thank you for your continued support and prayers of our school.
Iehova he vaha loto,

Market Day
Well done to all our students and teachers for their hard work and effort put in, to produce some awesome produce e.g. lettuce, carrots etc and the art work and creatives ways they’ve incorporated the devotion topic ‘The Law of the Harvest’ into their inquiry learning. You will read more about this in depth in the next newsletter where the teachers may elaborate more on the learning leading to Market Day.
Together we raised $5,690.86 – Congratulations to all and thank you whanau for your support. All money fundraised will go towards the students classroom end of year Fun Day.
THANK YOU WHANAU – KTM Food Stall
To our Amazing Parent Volunteers,
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to each of you who generously donated 100% of the delicious food for our KTM food stall at Market Day! Your kindness, effort, and spirit of giving made our event a success and filled it with the warmth of your support. We couldn’t have done it without you! Thank you also to our Komiti Tupu Mai team – your parent representatives who took the time to set up, prepare, cook and pack down our stall. All proceeds will go back into Rise UP Academy for our tamariki and your voluntary hours have been updated. Well done for your AMAZING TEAM EFFORT! May God continue to bless all our whanau!
Cross Country
This term saw Rise Up enter our first cross country team in the school’s history. All students who participated demonstrated perseverance, resilience and hardwork. Although our RUA team had limited preparation time they all did our school proud. The true strength of our RUA team lies in their unity and spirit making sure they were on the line cheering each other on during the toughest parts of a race and supporting one another through training. The definition of sportsmanship among our students has been truly inspiring.
Congratulations to all the team members for their hard work, dedication, and determination throughout training and the cross country meet. Thank you to Whaea Celia for your constant commitment to training and seeing our kids succeed. We look forward to seeing what they’ll achieve in the future, and I can’t wait for next year’s season!

Devotions
Devotion topic: Godly Wisdom
Term Scripture: Proverbs 3:5-6
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take”.
Week 6 Memory Verse: Proverbs 16:9
“We can make our own plans, but the Lord determines our steps”.
The staff and kaiako especially, aim to teach and model what is right and wrong in the classroom, at home and in our community. Knowing what is right and wrong is one thing, doing what is right is Godly wisdom, when we make mistakes, God’s wisdom is not making the mistakes over and over again. Our akonga are learning who, what and how wisdom is portrayed in the Bible through Wise leaders like Moses, Joshua, Solomon and Jesus! As we are nearing the festive season, we will learn from the 3 wise men and continue to pray for God’s wisdom amongst our staff, akonga and community.
Prayer requests:

*Staff -Bereavement
